  • Labrador's Nina Labatt spoke at The 2007 Private Equity Strategic Financial Management Conference: "Operational, Tax and Accounting Issues in the Private Equity Firm," held on November 27-28 in San Francisco.

  • Pandora is featured in Doonesbury cartoons on November 27 and November 28.
  • MeeVee: Now With TiVo! As of November 20, TiVo users can record shows from anywhere by clicking "Record On My TiVo DVR" from any episode listing in the MeeVee guide.
  • Solaicx held an opening ceremony on November 20 for its new solar manufacturing facility in Portland, Oregon and Governor Ted Kulongoski cut a ceremonial ribbon inaugurating the plant’s new operations.

October 2007

  • reported that Veeker raised new funding and signed an exclusive deal with NBC to roll its service out to 10 major cities.

  • MeeVee launched a new site on October 16 providing users with a customized suite of Online and TV directory services, features and long form content. MeeVee also recently acquired Top Ten Sources, an Internet aggregator of the best rich media content drawing from blogs, podcasts, video and mainstream media.

  • Veeker launched Veeker 2.0, a multimedia messaging service delivering simple and quick video and picture messaging via mobile phones, e-mail and Webcam.

September 2007

  • Labrador Ventures joined a $3.5M Series D financing of portfolio company MeeVee along with existing investors.
  • Altierre Corporation presented at ThinkEquity Partners’ prestigious G5 Growth Conference in September in San Francisco.
  • EoPlex announced on September 7 that AlwaysOn selected the Company for its GoingGreen Top 100 Private Company Award.  The Company was recognized for leadership in clean technology and global business potential.
  • Wired Magazine's Bog Network reported that HP's upcoming laptop and desktop computers will ship with the Pandora internet radio service via the Windows start menu or an IE bookmark, allowing buyers of those machines to start enjoying Pandora's free, customizable, artist-based music stations.

August 2007

  • PC Magazine named one of the Top 100 Undiscovered Websites.

  • Solaicx names Jeff Osorio as Chief Financial Officer. 
  • Solaicx announced on August 15 that Jeff Osorio joined the company as chief financial officer.  Formerly, Mr. Osorio was a corporate controller and interim CFO of Cypress Semiconductor.
  • Labrador's Stuart Davidson spoke at the Rockefeller Jackson Forum's Focus on Foundations and Endowments on August 12-14.  The panel, "Evolution of Global and Alternative Investments," included representatives from General Atlantic, Unison Capital and Venrock.
  • IntruGuard receives HostingWeek Magazine Editor’s choice award for 2007.

July 2007

  • Labrador ’s Larry Kubal participated as a panelist on VC TaskForce’s VC Connect Q&A roundtable between entrepreneurs and investors along with representatives from Claremont Creek Ventures, Opus Capital and Xseed Capital.
  • On July 20 AlwaysOn named Solaicx an "AlwaysOn 100 Top Private Company" in its "Green" category.  The AO100 winners will be honored at the Stanford Summit on July 31st.
  • NextHop Technologies closed a Series D funding for $4 million on July 17. The new funds will be used to accelerate product development and further innovation in enterprise mobility and networking. New Enterprise Associates, Duchossois Technology Partners, Labrador Ventures, and Parker Price Venture Capital provided the latest investment, bringing total company funding to $45.8 million.
  • Solaicx announced on July 11 that the former CEO of BP Solar, Harry Shimp, joined its Board of Directors.

June 2007

  • A front page article in the Wall Street Journal featured Pandora and how it is working with Sprint Nextel to make its services available on mobile phones and also working on its own player.
  • Pandora wins in the Media category in CNet’s first “Webware 100” awards.
  • Labrador ’s Larry Kubal was a panelist at OPEN Forum 2007 “Rational Exuberance” on June 16 along with representatives from Mayfield, Amidzad Partners, and Altair Ventures.
  • Yardbarker tops the frontpage of Digg on June 13.
  • EoPlex Technologies received the 2007 North American Specialized Manufacturing Technology Innovation of the Year Award by Frost & Sullivan.
